Local Play Space Review & Assessment Service

A PLAYLINK play consultant, along with a PLAYLINK landscape architect or designer with sound knowledge of designing and delivering play space schemes, will explore with you current provision and just how good local play spaces could be.

  • Are you keen to explore a different approach to providing for play?
  • Are you keen to keep the best of current provision, yet embrace new approaches?
  • Do you need to make the argument locally: with Councillors? Health and Safety officers? Parents, children and young people?
  • Do you need to raise key questions about dogs and dog mess? About fencing? About surfacing: sand, pea gravel?
  • Are you concerned about maintenance issues?
  • Does local consultation lead to identikit play spaces, making it difficult to do something different?

These and other questions can be addressed through the review and assessment process.
